Résumé Checklist
OVERALL APPEARANCE AND
FORMATTING
□ Professional, easy-to-read font such
as Arial, Georgia, Tahoma or Times
New Roman.
□ Consistent font size. Only the
heading and section titles are larger.
Bolded, underlined and italic text is
used sparingly.
□ Appropriate spacing between lines
and blocks of text, making it easy to
diferentiate sections.
□ Consistent bullets using plain
circles, not special characters like
checks or arrows.
□ Single-page résumé: At least two-
thirds of the page is olled with text.
Multiple page résumé: Last page
is at least half olled with text. No
pages with just 1-2 lines.
□ Margins no smaller than 0.5 inch
and no larger than 1 inch.
□ Saved as a PDF to maintain
formatting.

□ Name in bold and in a larger font
